Vice-professor Cao Qiong Visited University of Ferrara for Training and Study

From December 3 to 23, Associate Professor of Business School of STU, Cao Qiong, with the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Department delegation visited University of Ferrara, Italy and took part in the training course on "How to Build Independent Innovation and Technology Innovation System for Specialized Town" organized by "the Sino-Italian Policy School". It is one of the exchange projects between China and Italy that signed by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of two countries, which aimed at establish mechanisms for exchange of experience. Currently, this project is used to help the administrative departments of Guangdong Province, colleges and universities, research institutions and enterprises to establish dialogue mechanism with Italy. The opening ceremony of the training course was held at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, co-hosted by Minister Fan Yilan, Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Professor Thomas, School of Economics, University of Ferrara. During the meeting, Professor Cao Qiong talked with the Italian minister and professor team of University of Ferrara on Co-operation between two schools, and reached a preliminary intention. Professor at the University of Ferrara said they would visit Business School of STU in the near future to further discuss the specific issues of cooperation.
 
During the study in Italy, University of Ferrara invited experts and government officials to introduce the experience and thinking about Europe's contemporary industrial development from three perspectives: 1. The policy on promoting the development of the specialized town; 2. The experience and innovation model on local government’s formulating its local development policy; 3. The outcome of long-term cooperation between brand enterprises and the Government.
   
The delegation learned a lot through the classroom study and the visit to Ferrari, Ducati and other well-known brand enterprises. They had a profound understanding that the formation of industrial clusters make a great contribution to the regional economy, and how enterprises in the field of traditional industries to add a modern innovation to retain their long-term vitality. During the visit, Italy Ferrara Development Council also briefed the delegation on Italy's commercial environment to attract small and medium enterprises in Guangdong Province to invest in Italy.
