The conference of “2008 Institution Theory and Corporation Strategy Workshop” held in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies on Nov. 8-9,2008. This meeting was hosted by National MBA Instruction Committee and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. Prof. Lin Danming was invited and Mr. Hu Shaodong also attended this meeting.
Institution theory is the most popular theory frame to research Organization Behavior、Organization Structure and Corporation Strategy for Transferring Economy or Fresh Economy. Nowadays, China is lying in transferring economy whose institution environment is undergoing fast change phase. This unstable institution environment will go against strategy decision of corporation manager. Meanwhile, transferring economy system environment in China supplied a plan to test all the hypothesis of institution theory. The purpose of this workshop was to better research corporation strategy problem in China, to understand the development and application of institution theory, and hope that there will be a new complexion to research Corporation Strategy and Organization Behavior by institution theory.
This two-day workshop combined topic speech and literature reading, and asked all the attendants to read supplied literature and do research design by group. Prof. Liu Zhongming, Prof. Mu Yechengshi, Prof. Lv Yuan, Prof. Susan Zhu, all from CUBA, Prof. Christine M.K. Chan, from the University of Hong Kong, Prof. Wei Sen, from Fadan University, and Prof. Liu Shiding, from Peking University made topic speech respectively. During the workshop, Mr. Hu Shaodong communicated and discussed with other scholars.
