On November 25th, the National Competition of the HKICPA in 2018 came to an end at the Harbour Grand Hotel in Hong Kong. Our team won the Excellence Award in this competition.
The HKICPA Business Case Competition (formerly known as QP Case Analysis Competition) 2018 received tremendous support with more than 630 teams from various universities in Hong Kong, Greater China and Macau regions took part. In order to promote communication between college students from the Greater China region and Hong Kong, and to allow them to be able to paticipate in the competition and learn from each other, this year the HKICPA will merge the competitions in the Hong Kong Division and the Mainland Division (including Macau). Twelve teams from Hong Kong and the Mainland, six for each, advanced to the final.
The team of the 2016 undergraduate students Jiayang Lin (Accounting), Yuanyuan Xie (Accounting), Junyu Ke (Accounting), and Donghui Wu (International Trade) stood out of more than 630 teams from all over the country, and entered the national final.
The case competition 2018 focusd on Fitness Industry, concluding three rounds. In the first round, a written report was submitted, and 60 teams were selected to enter the second round. The second round was reviewed again by the scoring judges, and only 12 teams were selected to enter the final. In the final, each university team maked the PPT on the basis of their respective analysis reports, gave an English presentation and answered questions from the judges. This not only tested the participants' case analysis ability, but also tested their oral English skills and on-site response ability

Based on their report, our team introduced the financial information analysis, strategic background, specific strategic content and measures to the judges in the final. They presented the expected profit growth and market development, combined with clear case analysis ideas in their presentation. Their excellent performance finally won the merit, ranking the eighth.
